Twin Dragon Studio and Landscape

After touring a Chinese-style pond and garden I was building in 2015, a landscape architect from Changsha, China, said, "You have mountains in your heart." I accepted this compliment deeply as a lifelong student of nature. And as a student of Japanese and Chinese landscape arts since 2004, I accepted this nod toward my efforts to understand and practice a form of art and poetic philosophy with roots in ancient Taoist and Buddhist traditions.

I'm a trained naturalist, museum exhibit developer/designer, writer, and maker who loves transforming a pile of curated boulders, a handful of trees and shrubs, and a splash of water into a naturalistic and transcendent space.
